and Fantasy Fun
I hope that every home with or without kids has a dress up trunk. maybe some of these items will add to your kit.Silk and Cotton Scarves
Children love color and texture. Cotton and Silk are my two favorite textures. Children will find exciting and interesting new ways to use these: Costumes, tents, wings turbans, doll blankets.
When I took this to a small friend to "road test" I, she spent the rest of the afternoon with her bunny puppet telling her dolly puppet stories. I sew these curtains from heavy twill or denim. You get an expansion curtain rod from your local hardware store. Your kid has a door way to an entire world of puppet theater. Ask me which fabric I have available this week. I only use washable fabric, because I know they get dirty.
One theater, four hand puppets, and a magic bag to
store the whole thing.
This is a unique puppet that fits on the back of
the hand. Your first two fingers are the legs, let your fingers
do the walking. These are magic, in that when I make them, even
though I cut them with the same pattern, each one develops its
own personality. I use bits and pieces of odds and ends, so they
are not all 100% cotton. Bits of lace, velvet, silk, faux fir,
ribbons, bows, and bells all add to the individual personality
of each puppet. (Let me know if it is for a baby, and I will
be sure there are no parts that will be a problem for choking.)
The most recent batch includes Fuzzy animals, Harem Girls,
Turks, Magicians, Fancy Ladies, Kitties, and Clowns.
Plain old fashioned puppets, you know the kind where you stick your hand inside and wiggle your fingers. Each finished puppet has its own face and decorations, or get the blank puppet and paint it yourself.
I have never met a little girl that didn't love tutus, especially these full, nylon tulle tutus with simple elastic waist. I made one of these for Chava (a long time ago when she was a little kid) and she wore it nonstop for a week. I usually make these in some combination of Lavender and Pink.
I made a huge splash when I took a bunch of these to my brother's wedding. The Ring boy's job was to give one to each kid at the reception! I make these capes out of what ever shiny fabric catches my eye. Elastic and Velcro at the neck prevent kids from choking themselves should they get snagged by a troll or bush.
Give me some idea what your little gremlin likes
so s/he can be a super hero or ballerina-fairy-queen.
These three pointed jester hats are not just for
kids. I make them out of striped knits, shiny satins, or what
ever I like. The bells on the points make the hats really stupid.
Chava and her band of Bohemian preteens love these stupid hats,
but their stupid school won't let them wear hats at school because
of gangs. Now there's a picture, a gang all wearing striped stupid
hats.
I make these bags up especially for your order. Tell me how much you want to spend, and who the bag is for. I go through my pile of make believe stuff and you have a unique and personal kit.

Just a plain apron. Tough durable natural 100% Cotton. Paint color, or print your own art work.
Email me if you would like a printed copy of this catalog. It is nothing more than a stale copy of what you see here, but I am glad to send it to you if really want one.
