Brocade Bodices A small gallery of some of the work I have been doing in brocade.
Highland Bodice
OK so I am lousy at drawing. I am good at making bodices to make you look great.
This is the Scottish style bodice I have been promising you. Soft scallops at the waist are graceful. Gromets at the side seam make this a good choice for those with hard to fit figures and for young women that are still growing and developing.

This is a plain, floor length, Cotton skirt.
The elastic waist is comfortable and size forgiving. (Add $5.00
for customizing the length.) Available in all COLORS.

Some times the old styles are the best. This wide
gauze skirt is the design from the Navajo women. Very traditional.
I sew it from gauze fabric, making it light and airy. The regular
skirt is cut long (38: for a medium) and full in the traditional
way. The 2/3 length is cut to below the knee for a contemporary
look. Available in all COLORS.

Very Full, lots and lots of light cotton gauze fabric.
In fact they are so full that you might want to order one size
smaller if you want a contemporary fit. Traditionally the blouse
was worn with the front tied tight for married women, off the
shoulder for a loose woman. Cut long (well down the thigh) for
a traditional fit. Available in all COLORS.
This is my version of the blouse worn by women in
many places and many times. It is made from the light gauze ,
with soft elastic neckline and puffy cotton sleeves. Cool, and
comfortable, but not see through. Available in all COLORS.
Full cut through the thighs and calf from hearty
Peking fabric, but not too blousy. Comfortable to move in, and
flattering to a full figure. Peking fabric is durable. Available in all COLORS.
Amelia Bloomer wasn't born until the 19th century, but many of us still like to wear bloomers under period clothing. (If you want to go REALLY authentic, you wouldn't wear anything.) Full cut, lace at the cuff, elastic waist. Fabric> Preshrunk muslin (or send me your personal fabric for a fabulous, fun pair of unmentionables.) Two lenths: Victorian (just barely to the ankle) and Edwardian (scandously above the knee). Available in all COLORS.
Note: My leggins and bike shorts also work great under costumes and other full skirts to prevent that uncomfortable flapping of the thigh that many of us with "full figures" seem to have.
