Dress your baby in bright, non-toxic colors. Colors are good, cheerful, fun. Most of the world celebrates the new baby with brilliant colors. "I'm a baby! Look at me! Pay me lots of attention!" Only Northern Europe and North America puts babies in pale, washed out colors.

OK, if you really want softer colors I have some, or undyed.

All of these are 100% Cotton. It will keep the baby comfortable all day. Cotton, especially on blankets is important for skin that has not yet learned to regulate temperature.

Because babies grow so quickly, I have tried to choose pieces that stay useful as a baby grows and changes from a new born dumpling, to a roley poley baby, to a fast moving toddler. All pants are cut wide in the beam to accommodate cotton diapers.

Harem Pants OR Tunic $15.00

Set of Both $25

The long tunic top starts ankle lenth, and by the time you stop using it, it is shirt lenth. It has an old world feel to the design. Simple long sleeves can be rolled up to fit the child. A great costuming piece, or daily use.

The Pants are elastic at the waist and cuff making these a pant to grow with. It is easy to get up and down over cotton diapers. Potty trainees find these pants convenient because they are easy to get up and down in a hurry. Older kids love them because they are easy to move in.

Because of the design, the tunic and pants fit for a long time. So buy big, and enjoy them for a long time.

You have a wide choice of fabrics as well:
A skankie photo of the harem pants on a hanger. Not great photo, but someday.... Pants on BoyHarem Pants on a running boy.

Baby Bundles

Let me choose out of my drawers of clothing for a unique baby gift. Your assortment could include any of the wonderful items from Coole Designs. Let me know the age and gender of the baby and what season the clothing will be worn. Sizes from new born to toddler.

Basic Tees

Just a plain shirt, nothing fancy. Use with a pair of socks for new born layette clothes, or use under a fancy outfit. Just a good, solid 100% cotton shirt.

I use these alone for warm days, or under clothes for an extra layer of warmth. Use it over a lap shoulder tee for a layered look. I also find these useful as a sort of "body bib" when I put a nice shirt on that I would like to stay nice until we get to Grandma's. 100% cotton. Sizes are Ridiculously Small: 3m, 6m, 12m, 18m, 24m, 36m.

Tank Top $2.25

Short Sleeve Shirt $3.00

Long Sleeve $3.50

Baby Blankets

I make some wonderful, soft, durable blankets for babies. You will find them on my blankets page.

Snappies

These little shirts snap in the crotch to keep the shirt in place and cover the diapers. In the summer time this is all your baby needs to be fully dressed. 100% cotton. Sizes are Ridiculously Small: 3m,6m,12m,18m,24m. (I am running out of some sizes, so please let me know if I can go up a size.)

Tank $4.25

Short Sleeve $5.75

Socks
Two styles to choose from:

Nursing Pads

DIAPERS

There are two pages just for diapers:

One Piece Potty $4.00

Yes there is life after diapers. I am working on a page for potty training.

I recommend the One Piece Potty because it is easy to clean, easy to take with you. It is personal sized for a little person, unlike that giant porcelain fixture. ("You want me to climb up there and hang my little bitty fanny over that giant pit that threatens to swallow me up? You've got to be kidding!") This pot puts the child in a squatting position which is the most natural position for that action.

Infant Cap with ties $5.50

This is the basic cap used for newborns in many parts of the world. It is so important to keep an infant's head worm. Up to 60% of heat loss is from the head. 100% cotton absorbs perspiration and doesn't over heat the head. It is made of cotton knit, and it ties under the chin.

EIf Hat $4.50

100% cotton fleece is soft and yummy. This is the same hat listed on the page. I recommend sewing on a piece of ribbon or elastic if your kid is the kind that pulls things off.
